Jacques Muron was born in 1950. He studied drawing and printmaking at L’École des Beaux-Arts de Toulouse, from 1968-73. In 1982 he was awarded the Paul-Louis Weiller Prize by L’Académie des Beaux-Arts de Paris. As recipient of the award formerly known as the Prix de Rome, he was a Fellow in residence at the Villa Médicis from 1983–85.
The quality of Muron’s work is really unique. He is the only artist we know who can master the burin technique so well.
Our Gallery has been presenting Muron’s fine engravings work since 1996.
