Bartram, Ed

Born in London, Ontario in 1938, Ed Bartram obtained a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Western Ontario and a master’s degree in fine arts from the University of Toronto.  Owner of an island in Georgian Bay, Lake Huron, he described in his prints and paintings the picturesque features of the Canadian Shield.  Professor of printmaking at the Ontario College of arts for many years, he retired on his island, where he died on August 25, 2019.

Ed Bartram was a member of the Royal Canadian Academy of Arts and of the Ontario Society of Artists.
