Tetreault, Pierre-Leon

Photo de l'artistePierre-Léon Tétreault was born in 1947. After a brief stint at the École des Beaux-Arts in Montreal, he opened his workshop in 1969. Globe-trotting, he traveled around the world since then, inspired by various cultures in the realization of his own work. In Europe first, and then in Russia and Japan, where he made an internship at the Studio of Gaston Petit, then iterates through the USA, Mexico, Latin America (Colombia, Venezuela, Guatemala, Uruguay, Eguateur, Argentina etc.), Africa (Togo, Senegal, Mali, Congo etc.) Asia Southeast, (Thailand, Myanmar, Cambodia, Indonesia etc.) He settled permanently in 1999 to Costa Rica, true earthly paradise, where he lived for nearly 15 years.

Tétreault works translate into images the richness of this eden where the flora and the fauna reflected in shapes and colors. With this exhibition the Gallery is transformed into a huge aviary of parrots, toucans, hummingbirds and a multitude of other volatile as colorful…
