Fafard, Joe

Joe Fafard was born in St. Marthe a small community of Saskatchewan. He is one of Canada’s leading visual artists and has had a good number of exhibitions in galleries across the country and abroad. His work can be found in numerous Corporate and Public collections, particularly in the National Gallery of Canada.

His insight and humour characterize his portraits in bronze of his neighbors, politicians, famous artists he respects and farm animals. His “cows” and “horses” have become his trademarks.

Joe Fafard has his own foundry in Pense and currently resides in a small farm in Lumsden Saskatchewan.
