Bougie Louis-Pierre

Louis-Pierre Bougie was born in 1946 in Trois-Rivières, Québec. He continued his training in Paris, where he studied lithography at the Atelier Champfleury and etching at the Atelier Lacourière et Frélaut. The Atelier Lacourière et Frélaut has printed several of his copper plates.
Founding member of the cooperative workshop L’Atelier Circulaire de Montreal, he contributes to the development of printmaking in Quebec by welcoming in his studio artists from around the world. Recipient of numerous awards he has to his credit more than fifty solo exhibitions in Canada and abroad. His works are part of many private and public collections.
